Turning

Turning is a process where metal is cut to produce cylindrical surfaces as required. Essentially, the metal which is work on is rotated on a spindle and the cutting tool is used to create the desired effects. Turning could also include processes such as chamfering, parting, threading, boring, drilling and knurling.
